Cyber-attacks from State Actors are a growing pandemic. Nation-State actors target aggressively public and private sector networks with the intent to compromise, steal and destroy information. These actors may come through a state or receive instruction, funding or technical assistance from a nation-state. Nation-State cyberattack analysis between 2017 and 2020 revealed that over 1/3 of organizations targeted saw businesses rise to the top of the list. Other common targets included media, government, as well as critical infrastructure. These attacks may even include compromising multiple networks and businesses in order to facilitate larger attacks, leaving a large amount of collateral damage.
