A cybersecurity attack disrupted telephone services in offices and departments in the city of Joplin. The city government's computerized and online operations plus internet telephone services were disabled as a result of the attack. The incident, thankfully, did not affect public safety.

CISA Launches New Ransomware Information Website

A collaborative effort between the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), along with other federal partners, have launched new resource pages on CISA's website to help inform and equip private and public organizations with the information they need to mitigate their ransomware risk.
